Those who have decided to hunt in this beautiful country have never regretted their decision. The former Soviet republic of Central Asia offers many attractions and, step by step, the amount of tourists and hunters is gradually growing in number including the ones from Slovakia, who praise it to the skies.
Less than 5 million inhabitants live on an area of 200 thousand square kilometres. Regarding the number of inhabitants, Bishkek, the capital of the country, known to many as Frunze, could fairly be compared to Liverpool. The paths of the Silk Route have been condemned to obscurity; nevertheless, the country has not changed over centuries. Kyrgyzstan has little arable land, only on the north around Bishkek and on the south near Dzhalal-Abad. When looking at the map of this country, it becomes clear to everyone that Kyrgyzstan has more than enough mountains. The Tian Shan Mountains that spread from east to west and from north to south beat the rhythm of the country. Kyrgyzstan is not by far one of the economically most developed countries; nonetheless, after the Soviet occupation, it is gradually strengthening its position. Everywhere you will meet friendly and smiling people whose hospitability should not be rejected.
Kyrgyzstan is, for sure, a small Paradise on the Earth for hunters and adventurers. You will climb to an altitude of 4 300 m above sea level in order to live through unrepeatable experiences. Maybe, with a piece of luck, for a fraction of second, you will have the possibility of seeing with your own eyes the august and strictly protected snow leopard. Unlike this game, the majestic inhabitants of the mountains, as for instance, the ibex or Tian Shan argali, can become valuable trophies, which would remind you about the moments spent in the rough but beautiful Kyrgyzstan.
The hunting grounds KARAKOLKA, ULAN a JANY- JER are located in the Naryn oblasty to the southeast of the Yssyk Kul, the highest freshwater lake in the world, not far from the Chinese border, at an altitude of 3000 above sea level. One camp can fully provide for 3 or 4 hunters at the same time.
